  • Winter boat prep - and don't forget that we're still open.

    Just A quick reminder to everyone to prepare you boats at MPSC for the winter. All boats (and kayaks) need to be tied down securely. Imagine the damage that can happen if your boat is blown onto someone else's craft? In fact, that's actually the cause of most damage and insurance claims.     Manor Park secures a Quest dinghy from John Merricks Sailing Trust!

    Wow! A brand new boat !! As MPSC members may be aware, with thanks to the tireless work of our fund raisers, in November 2020 our club was awarded a £5,000 grant by the John Merricks Sailing Trust towards a new dinghy. Like all organizations, Covid had also hit their fundraising, but they were impressed by our application. John Merricks was a fantastic young sailor, but it was his enthusiasm

    Thankyou to The Postcode Lottery!

    Manor Park Sailing Club were awarded £2,000 from the PostCode Lottery at end of June 2021for the replacement of the leaking s/h safety boat used by the Manor Park Radio Sailing Club and the Rugeley Model Boat Club. The brand new RED Whaly 310 rigid safety boat was collected and put into use in time for the August National MYA 2 day event, with 31 entries (from all over the UK) plus our own members.

    Marblehead Nationals 2021

    The prestigious Marblehead National Championship 2021 was hosted by Manor Park Radio Sailing Club recently and proved to be a very succesful event. Challenging for the many competitors but still a fantastic event. A huge thankyou must go to all at MPSC that helped to make this event run so well and for welcoming the competitors with warmth.   • Racing from July

    Saturday Racing at Manor Park. Have you thought of trying racing? Racing is now scheduled for Saturday mornings. It's a good way to improve most of your sailing skills. And at Manor Park it's all very relaxed and friendly. You don't need special skills and you'll soon pick up the relevant rules.   • Clubhouse refurbishment.

    Whilst things have, obviously, been quiet for the club on the water during the last few months, behind the scenes there's been a lot of activity. The enforced downtime has given us a chance to undertake some much needed building repair work and refurbishment of club facilities.     Insurance...
