Our Sailing Instructors

Our sailing instructors are a dedicated team of volunteers who give their time, knowledge and experience to help members of all ages develop their sailing skills.

From complete beginners taking their first steps on the water to sailors looking to improve their confidence, boat handling and racing skills, our instructors provide a safe, friendly and supportive environment for everyone to learn and enjoy sailing.

Our instructor team works together to deliver training throughout the season, following the RYA sailing pathway and helping sailors progress at their own pace.

Our Training Principal oversees the club's training programme and helps ensure that our sailing instruction is delivered safely, effectively and to a high standard.

Chief Instructor Sailing

Name: Jacob

Our Chief Instructor Sailing leads the sailing instruction team, coordinates training and supports our instructors to deliver enjoyable and progressive sailing sessions.

Senior Instructors

Names: Simon, Dave, Coral, Sam

Our Senior Instructors have extensive experience and help lead sessions, support other instructors and provide guidance to sailors as they develop their skills.

Dinghy Instructors

Names: Rowan, Luke, Sarah, Suzanne, Zoe, Dylan, Amanda, Dave, Amelie, Stuti, Sarah, Alex, Coby

Our Dinghy Instructors deliver practical sailing instruction on the water, helping sailors develop their confidence, boat handling and sailing techniques.

Assistant Instructors

Our Assistant Instructors support the sailing team during sessions, helping sailors learn in a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment. They are an important part of our instructor team and are developing their own skills and experience as instructors.
